People see the Maker in a lot of ways, but one of the main ways I see God is as an artist. God is full of creativity, colors, detail, design, and art.
God is the essence of creativity. God is the Painter of each new sky every morning, each moving detail, each visually enticing moment and memory. God splatters perfect tints and shades of color into each landscape and works with broad and detailed brush strokes, getting every aspect worked out. God is a Potter, who sculpts us out of earth and into being, and molds each detail of us from head to toe. The Potter who designs trees and mountains and natural beauty, and follows through, sculpting them beautifully. There are a lot of beautiful verses in the Bible that talk about God's role of an artist.
Isaiah 64:8 says:
We are the clay and you're our potter: all of us are what you made us.
Psalm 95:4-5 says:
In the Maker's hands are the depths of the earth, and each mountain peak belongs to God. The sea is God's because God created it, and God's hands formed the dry land.
God expresses emotion through the art created. Every work of nature, human kind, and life is sculpted by God, and it all brings so much emotion and feeling to our hearts. We each find different things gorgeous, and God knows this, creating with it in mind. God stirs our soul through art. God evokes feeling with each hue in each sunrise and sunset, every familiar face, and every simple joy in life from puppies to cups of coffee. All thought of, created, sculpted, detailed, and loved by the Creator.
Look around at the world, and you'll see God's creativity and artistry spilling out everywhere. The Maker is an artist of emotions, people, nature, thoughts, and life. The Divine encompasses every aspect of a great artist, and we get to live as that art and among that art every single day.
